On this day, thirty years ago (24th of November, 1995), Marathon2: Durandal was released for the Macintosh.

While a year earlier, the release of Marathon (1) solidified Bungie Software’s reputation as a quality computer games developer, the release of M2 nailed it down with seven inch nails. The game was a high quality smash hit for the Mac userbase featuring more advanced graphics engine and more polished graphics and artwork, a deeper storyline and high intensity network play.
